Crystal Core is an actively developed mod to Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 designed to expand the game mining experience while maintaining vanilla balance and aesthetics.
It builds upon existing vanilla minerals, enhancing them with new features:
- Copper (vanilla): now includes its own tools and armor sets, positioned between stone and iron for early-mid game utility.
- Emerald (vanilla): upgraded with full tools and armor sets, placed between silver and diamond in power.
The mod also adds new minerals to extend progression:
- Silver: placed between iron and emerald, offering reliable tools and armor with moderate stats.
- Ruby: situated between diamond and netherite, focusing on higher enchantability and mining speed at the cost of durability.
- Benningtonite: a unique, light-emitting mineral surpassing netherite in power and durability.
Each mineral integrates into a crafting system involving reinforced handles made from previous-tier materials, encouraging strategic resource management and progression.

- At least 1000 additional minerals, each with their own tools, armor, and ores.
- Advanced world generation customization options.

The mod, being made in MCreator, does not have a very advanced progression system, and literally any mineral could be mined with diamond.
Example: you can literally skip from diamond to Benningtonite without going through ruby or netherite.
But, if you want the maximum immersion, don't skip levels like an ambitious monkey for power.
